Weekend

We had a great weekend.
Friday I had an interview for a position in the HR department.  It is not nursing related which will be a nice change.  I think the interview went well and I should hear either way early this week.

Saturday we had our friends Stewart and Kari over for dinner.  I wanted to make something familiar from home.  I knew everyone would appreciate a tex mex meal.  I made shredded chicken, spanish rice, black beans, home made tortillas, fresh salsa, and cucumber lemonade.  Everything was delicious and our bellies were happy.  We especially enjoyed the cucumber lemonade, well except for Tyson.  We visited for a while after dinner and lost track of time.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  It definitely makes a difference having friends here.

This morning we were invited to their house so Sophia could play at the park.  It's about a ten minute walk to their apartment.  The park is right across the street from their building.  It is a pretty decent park, probably the only decent park in this area.  There was a man with his granddaughter there.  He was very nice and did talk with us for a while.  Sophia had a blast and everyone else enjoyed watching her play.  Stewart and Kari are expecting a baby soon and you could tell they were thinking about watching their own child play in the future.  They don't know the gender of the baby and are waiting until birth, so it is pretty exciting.

So far we are adjusting well.  We do like our housekeeper and Sophia has done well staying with her twice so far.  Our guards are pretty nice and watch out for us.  We are enjoying what little of the city we have seen so far and are looking forward to the cooler months to explore a lot more.  There is so much to see in this country, even just here in Delhi.  We haven't even begun to touch what is out there.  More to come.....
